Anubis I Case Study: Cleggs Solicitors
Having been awarded £10,000 to invest in technology, all the winning companies took an innovative idea and weaved it into their businesses. Here is a summary of their successes thanks to the ANUBIS funding.
A teleworking solution enabled a firm of solicitors to work remotely when away from the office with its cash from the ANUBIS project. Court work and out-of- office commitments meant Cleggs needed to ensure its staff could work flexibly and efficiently during the working week.
The ANUBIS funding now means they enjoy the full benefits of a powerful mobile IT and system anytime. Since the project was completed the solicitors has recorded one of its most successful and profitable years, in part, to increased efficiencies from the new IT system.
During a five day court trial, David Vaughn-Birch, a partner at Cleggs, was able to use a PDA which allowed him to stay in touch with the office by email during the day to deal with client queries. In the evening, broadband access allowed him to deal with post he received during the day which had been scanned and emailed to him in PDF format. This meant there was no interruption to the work that was being done for other clients.
David Vaughn Birch said: “ANUBIS allowed us to use the power of the latest information technology to improve efficiency. We have had a successful year providing our clients with a much higher level of service than before. This has given us a competitive edge.”
